Tips On The Perfect Foods Diet Schedule Base On Blood Type
Blood Type O Eating Plan
- Meat eater, burns meat as fuel.
- Produces high levels of stomach acid. Tends towards gastric irritations and stomach ulcers – these can be treated and healed with DGL (deglycyrrhized licorice).
- Lean, energetic. Needs intense exercise to function best.
- Tends towards a sluggish metabolism (avoid foods on ‘avoid’ list and blood type danger).
- Tends towards low levels of thyroid hormone. This can lead to weight gain, fluid retention, muscle loss and fatigue (include kelp, seafood, bladder wrack in diet).
- Can also tend towards thyroid and autoimmune disorders (lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis) often caused by leaky gut (exacerbated by eating wheat products).
- Tends towards gastric and digestive upsets – stomach ulcers, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and Crohn’s disease. Also gastro-esophageal reflux. Correct eating can clear this – antacids are not effective in the long run.
- Tends to develop inflammatory joint problems and arthritis (lectins from incorrect foods deposit in joints. Avoiding these foods will decrease the tendency).
- Tendency towards asthma, hay fever, mucus problems such as post-nasal drip and snoring. Cutting out wheat reduces symptoms rapidly as wheat is a histamine-releasing food for type O.
- Tendency to have ‘thin’ blood, which doesn’t clot easily. Vitamin K, found in fish oils, promotes clotting and is therefore beneficial.
Type O’s ‘perfect’ diet
- Basis of fresh fruit and vegetables from your list, raw or lightly cooked ( of your intake)
- Add: organic meat, liver, seafood, free-range chicken, eggs, olive oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, seaweeds, prunes, raisins.
- Also: butter, feta, goat’s cheese, beans (from list), brown rice, millet, buckwheat, quinoa.
- Drink: pure water, herbal teas, pineapple juice, prune juice, vegetable juices, moderate red wine.
- Supplements: a full supplement program is essential to all blood types but make sure the O type includes Omega 3 fatty acids, spirulina, vitamin B especially vitamin b12 on weight loss, calcium, digestive enzymes.
Type O’s most important foods to avoid
- Wheat in all forms, maize (corn), potatoes, barley (found in beer)
- Kidney beans, navy beans, peanuts
- Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, mustard greens (substitute with other calciferous vegetables e.g. broccoli)
- Dairy products except small amounts of butter, feta, goats, mozzarella cheese
- Calamari
- Coffee, black tea, distilled spirits, soft drinks
- blackberries, high-acid fruit (oranges, tangerines, strawberries)
- O1: avocado, lentils, button mushrooms
- O2: oats, soya products, chickpeas, buckwheat, aubergine, anchovy, sunflower seeds, honey, sugar, dates
Blood Type A Plan
- The ‘natural’ vegetarian.
- Thrives on grains and vegetable proteins.
- Sensitive digestive tract; must avoid processed meats, fermented foods (pickles, olives) which contain nitrates – these promote stomach cancer in A’s because of their low stomach acid.
- Has a tolerant immune system.
- Predisposition to heart disease, cancer, anemia, infectious disease, skin and fungal infections, and diabetes, autoimmune disorders (candida infections, gastric ulcers, urinary tract infections, multiple sclerosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Grave’s disease etc.).
- Tends to store meat as fat – low stomach acidity struggles to digest it; will cause fluid retention.
- Dairy foods are poorly digested and provoke insulin reactions.
- Wheat to be eaten in moderation as too much wheat causes acidic muscle tissue, which inhibits calorie metabolism and mucus production in A’s. Choose other grains over wheat – millet, buckwheat, cornmeal, whole oats, rye.
- Dairy products stimulate the production of mucus, which lead to allergies and respiratory problems. Type A blood creates antibodies to the primary sugar in whole milk. Rice milk and goat’s cheese are excellent substitutes for A’s.
The Perfect Diet For Blood Type A
- Basis of fresh fruit and vegetables from list, raw or lightly cooked ( of your intake)
- Add: tofu, beans, pulses, fish, soya milk, olive oil, raw seeds and nuts, rice, grains, pasta, cereals, RAW peanuts, sunflower seeds
- Also: eggs, chicken, yogurt, goat’s milk and cheese, mozzarella, feta
- Drink: green tea, red wine, pure water, coffee
- Supplement: a full supplement program is essential for all blood types but make sure type A includes Omega 3 fatty acids, immune system-boosting herbs and supplements, calcium and magnesium, vitamin B12, folic acid, spirulina or wheat/barley grass.
Type A’s most important foods to avoid
- Meat – pork, lamb, beef, venison; any processed meats
- Seafood – calamari, oyster, sole, plaice
- Processed meats of any kind (due to the nitrates)
- Cow’s milk products
- Lima beans, chickpeas
- Too much wheat, wheat germ, bran (change to other types of breads)
- Potatoes, cabbage, red/orange/green peppers
- Coconut
- Vinegar, pickles, olives
- A1: banana, kidney beans, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, aubergine (eggplant/brinjal), chilies
- A2: wheat, maize/corn, duck, button mushrooms
Blood Type B Plan (Blood type by colour)
- Has the most tolerant digestive system.
- Can make the most flexible dietary choices.
- Dairy eaters.
- Strong immune system, not prone to serious diseases like heart disease and cancer, or can fight these well.
- Prone to immune system disorders (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME), Multiple Sclerosis, and lupus).
- Syndrome X: a collection of symptoms including diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, heart and cholesterol problems, arthritis, asthma and Alzheimer’s. Related to B’s specific way of coping with stress – produce more cortisol than other blood types. Can develop resistance to cortisol, which shuts down thyroid activity, slows down metabolism and encourages insulin resistance. Also tend to cope with stress by eating sweet, starchy foods. Combination of these can bring on Syndrome X. MUST stick to diet and avoid foods that are bad.
- Similar to type O in reaction to the gluten found in wheat, though not as severe. But wheat is not efficiently digested and burnt as fuel for the body, so causes weight gain. Can be very damaging in combination with ‘avoid’ list.
The Perfect Diet For Blood Type B
- Basis of fresh fruit and vegetables from your list, raw or lightly cooked ( of your intake).
- Add: meat, liver, fish, eggs, dairy products, olive oil, kidney, lima and navy beans .
- Also: soya products, pastas, millet, rice, oat bran, oatmeal, spelt.
- Drink: pure water, lager, wine, black tea, coffee, green tea.
- Supplements: a full supplement program is essential to all blood types but make sure the B type includes calcium and magnesium, digestive enzymes, herbs for stress management, vitamin B5, antioxidants, MSM with vitamin C to lower blood sugar, zinc and chrome.
Type B’s most important foods to avoid
- Sweetcorn, lentils
- Peanuts, sesame and sunflower seeds
- Mung beans, chickpeas
- Buckwheat, wheat, maize/corn, rye
- Avocado, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds will all cause weight gain
- Chicken, duck (contain a lectin harmful for blood type B)
- Tomatoes, olives, pumpkin, radishes
- B2: soya products
Blood Type AB Plan
- Sensitive digestive tract.
- Extremely tolerant immune system.
- This blood type is less than 1000 years old and is rare and complex.
- The rule of thumb is that most foods not recommended for either Type A or Type B is probably bad for type AB also. Exceptions: lectins in tomatoes are not tolerated by A or B, but the reaction of the lectins is diminished by the double A and B antibodies.
- Low stomach acid but also B’s adaptation to meat. Because of this, people with this blood type tend to put on weight as meat is stored as fat. If weight a problem, restrict to small amounts occasionally.
- B-type inhibited insulin production reaction to kidney and lima beans, corn, buckwheat and sesame seeds. This can cause hypoglycemia (lowering of blood sugar levels) after meals and therefore less efficient metabolism of foods.
- A-type friendly reaction to lentils and peanuts.
- Lack O and B severe reaction to wheat gluten, but for weight loss purposes wheat is best avoided.
The Perfect Diet For Blood Type AB's
- Basis of fresh fruit and vegetables from list, raw or lightly cooked ( of your intake).
- Supplement with tofu, seafood, small portions of dairy products, small portions of lamb, turkey, rabbit; eggs, recommended beans and pulses, recommended cereals, grains and breads, rice.
- Drink: pure water, hot water with fresh lemon juice, coffee, green tea. Lager, wine in moderation.
- Supplements: a full supplement program is essential to all blood types but make sure the AB type includes non-acidic vitamin C, small amounts of zinc and selenium, and herbs to support the cardiovascular system if a family history of illness is present.
Type AB’s most important foods to avoid
- Chicken, duck
- Kidney, lima beans, chick peas
- Sesame, sunflower seeds
- Maize/corn, buckwheat
- Coconut
- Smoked or cured meats
- Sole, plaice
- Oranges, orange juice, bananas
- Chili peppers, peppers, avocado, broad beans
