Discover How To Lose Weight Naturally Using Safe & Proven Weight Loss Programs!

Permanent, effective change takes time, and that is the goal of good health – certainly not an on-and-off ‘diet’, or a program to try and lose weight for a while. The changes you make need to be for life and the best way to do this is slowly & naturally. Unless you are seriously ill, you can make the changes suggested on this trusted weight loss program gradually. The mind and body are great creatures of habit and too much change too soon will be resisted by both of them. Slow changes are more likely to lead to a permanent lifestyle change. This article is going to introduce you to a free diet loss plan, that will help you get rid of those unwanted calories.

The time it takes for your body to lose weight entirely depends on how you are living your life presently, on how well you understand and accept the principles discussed, and especially if you are currently sick. If you are very ill, you may not have the luxury of time to make a gradual transition. The best solution would be to do a back-to-back colon and liver detox, take a week off and repeat, or you can take probiotics for weight loss - until you are symptom-free.

‘Gradual’ could be anywhere from 2 months to 2 years or even longer for some people. It can take 6 months to get rid of sugar cravings alone! The most important thing is to keep at it, keep trying the different suggestions, and when you ‘fall off the wagon’, to simply get back on as soon as you can.

If your goal is weight-loss, far better to do it slowly than to succumb to yo-yo dieting with all its ensuing health problems. Remember that whatever your weight, your body tends to see this as normal, as a new ‘set-point’ if you will, and thus any effort to change it could be extremely uncomfortable. Attempting a radical change often requires dramatic behavioral changes that the brain simply cannot sustain.

The discomfort experienced from an effort to dramatically change weight can be as painful as trying to break a drug addiction. Nobody loses weight at the same pace. Any permanent weight loss is better than none, or an attempt to lose too much, which can result in you giving up because it is too difficult. Remember too that after an initial period of rapid weight loss, this slows down – don’t give up at this point, but be aware that it is going to happen and determine to stick through it.

Changing your diet is the first step in losing weight

It is important to realize right from the start that you may not feel any different from many of the changes you make to your lifestyle and diet. For example, an A-blood type may not feel any different after having given up the ‘nightshade’ family of vegetables – but this might be the thing that prevents him/her from getting arthritis at the age of 60. You may not feel the fatty acid composition of the membranes in your cells rejuvenating themselves after replacing the hydrogenated oils in your diet with EFA’s (a process that could take up to 3 years!). But you are certainly giving yourself a greater chance of avoiding a long list of diseases, as you get older.

As you make gradual changes to your diet and lifestyle, keep a record of the changes in your body. Sometimes the changes are so gradual you don’t even realize it. It is also easy to forget with the fast-paced lives we lead! Before you start, make a list of things like:

  • Homocysteine level
  • Weight
  • Skin tone and condition (bumps, dryness, excessive oil)
  • Your average daily mood and memory
  • Dryness of eyes, hair, skin (or oiliness); brittleness of nails
  • Muscle tone, energy levels
  • Sleep patterns
  • Bowel movements
  • General bodily ‘aches and pains’ – sore stomach, post-nasal drip etc.
  • Any other health condition with which you are struggling
  • PMS or menopausal symptoms for women

Refer back to your notes after 2 months and again after 4 and 6 months of improving your diet and supplementing according to your needs, and check if your symptoms have lessened or disappeared.

Have fun! This is an exciting journey and one that has the potential to have a remarkable impact on your life. Here are my suggestions on how to transition, starting with the ones that are currently doing your health the most damage, to ones that you can do as you gain confidence.

Super-Quick Diet Fixes

These are things you can do immediately without affecting your lifestyle too much that can have an enormous impact on your health.

1. Change your margarine for butter, white bread for brown, fry with olive oil, grapeseed oil or butter instead of sunflower (preferably change to steam-frying), filter or distill all your drinking water, stop using your microwave oven.

2. Start supplementing with at least a high-strength multivitamin and mineral, 1000 mg Omega 3 oil, and vitamin C (NOT ascorbic acid) every day. Look for food-grown vitamins. For anti-aging add an anti-oxidant. See chapter 15 for more on supplementing.

3. Get 15-45 minutes of sunlight directly onto your skin every day – or have your vitamin D levels checked. You may need to supplement1.

4. Have the amalgam fillings in your mouth replaced with non-amalgam ones, by a dentist who is aware of the hazards of the procedure. Do a heavy metal detox after the procedure. Also, have all your root canals correctly removed by a dental surgeon who is aware of the importance of this and who can do it properly (click here for more information).

5. Find a source of raw dairy if your family eats dairy. Avoid pasteurized, homogenized dairy completely if you can. Also avoid altered fats – homogenized oils in processed foods, any fast foods.

6. Buy organic meat, vegetables, fruit, eggs and free-range chicken instead of commercial varieties where you can.

7. Have your homocysteine level checked. While you are at the clinic, have your blood type checked if you don’t know it, so you can start experimenting with eating for your blood type.

8. Make a conscious effort to eat more vegetables and raw food. Aim for 5 portions a day. See chapter 15.3 for a list of high ORAC fruit and vegetables – perfect for anti-aging!

9. Consider protecting yourself from harmful EMF frequencies, including those from mobile phones, television sets and electric wires.

10. Set aside a portion of your day just for yourself, where you can relax, do nothing, meditate, stretch or whatever helps you to de-stress. Whether it is 10 minutes or an hour, make this time sacred.
